FLAIRS invites a small number of tutorials aiming to introduce researchers to specific approaches or domains. Tutorials are presented during the first day of the conference and are an integral part of the FLAIRS conferences. For example, they provide researchers with the opportunity to:
learn how to transition research into practice;
learn about innovative tools or frameworks;
learn about bleeding-edge research approaches;
be introduced to a targeted AI domain,
etc.
We encourage tutorials that would be of broad interest to the artificial intelligence community in general, especially to the FLAIRS participants, including researchers, educators, and students, as well as government/industry participants who need to deepen their AI knowledge and skills.
Tutorials are expected to be either 90 or 180 minutes long (long tutorials will be divided into two 90 minute blocks with a short break in the middle).
Note: Tutorial are presented in rooms with tables where attendants bring their own laptops.
Presenters for the tutorials will work closely with the special track coordinator and are expected to respond promptly and communicate regularly in order to maximize the potential impact of their tutorials. Proposals must be made using the Tutorial proposal template and will include information such as the title, duration, presenter details with affiliations and biographies, a short description, and an outline.
Tutorials with strong relevance to the AI community that are not selected in the first round may be encouraged to resubmit with revisions during the second submission period.
