To All Authors: Please ensure you are using the updated flairs.sty style file, available in version 2 of the template. Using this template is essential for accessibility compliance. To verify that you are using the updated style file, check that the copyright contains “CC BY-NC 4.0".
To Authors of Accepted Papers: This page is a work in progress. Authors of accepted papers will find complete instructions for submitting camera-ready versions to FloridaOJ here by the notification date of March 9, 2026.

Toward A More Accessible Proceedings for FLAIRS
Accessibility is both an ethical responsibility and a practical necessity. One in four adults has a disability that can affect how they interact with digital content, yet over 90% of PDFs lack full accessibility features. For conference proceedings, this means many in our community may struggle to engage with published work.
Following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) ensures content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust across technologies. Essential features include proper tagging, logical reading order, alt text for figures, and accessible tables.
We understand these steps add effort to the final submission process and appreciate your commitment to inclusivity and help ensure that your research reaches the widest audience.
Please follow the instructions below, and contact the program chair with any questions. Thank you for helping make FLAIRS proceedings accessible to all.
PDF Accessibility Checklist for Camera-Ready Submissions (LaTeX)
Please complete the following steps before submitting your final paper.
Step 0. Prepare your camera-ready submission.
Proofread your paper and consider all reviewers' comments.
Ensure you are using v2 of the FLAIRS LaTeX template.
To verify that you are using the updated style file, check that the copyright contains “CC BY-NC 4.0".
Step 1. Add alternative text to all figures.
Within each figure environment, add
\alt{Add a nuanced description of the figure that will help others understand the content.}
immediately after the \includegraphics command, but before the \caption. For example:
\begin{figure}
\includegraphics{myfigure.png}
\alt{Bar chart with five grouped bars showing model accuracy across trials.
Trial 1: 75\%, Trial 2: 80\%, Trial 3: 85\%, Trial 4: 89\%, Trial 5: 92\%.
The trend shows consistent improvement with diminishing gains in later trials.}
\caption{Model accuracy across five experimental trials.}
\end{figure}
Step 2. Add alternative text to equations where appropriate.
Use \alt{} to provide descriptions for complex equations that convey essential meaning.
\begin{equation}
\alt{Cross-entropy loss equals negative one over N times the sum from i equals 1 to N of the sum from c equals 1 to C of y sub i comma c times the natural log of p sub i comma c, where N is the number of samples, C is the number of classes, y is the true label indicator, and p is the predicted probability.}
L = -\frac{1}{N} \sum_{i=1}^{N} \sum_{c=1}^{C} y_{i,c} \log(p_{i,c})
\end{equation}
Steps 3 and 4 are for accepted papers.
Step 3. Complete your camera-ready PDF for submission.
Verify your paper length: 7 pages for Full papers, 5 pages for Short papers, and 2 pages abstracts for posters. All of these maximum lengths exclude references. Violation will lead to withdrawal from the proceedings.
Make sure ALL co-authors appear in the same order in EasyChair and in the text of the paper. No extra authors are allowed unless approved by PC Chairs. Violation will lead to withdrawal from the proceedings.
Only one author should submit the camera-ready paper. There is no chance to change if there is a mistake.
Step 4. Submit to FloridaOJ
Submission of accepted, camera-ready papers will be made directly to the FloridaOJ website. Further instructions will follow in March 2026.
